The home name of this strong male is Rocco. He was born from a combination of our Sicilian Birba with a Sicilian male Mallo who has legendary old cirnechi in his pedigree.
Rocco is a very strong bundle of muscles and a quintessence of resistance and strength. He looks very strong, dark red, high-set sharp ears like a devil. He is very confident, brave and learns easily.
He was powerful and strong as a puppy. Rocco helped me bring home wood for the fireplace from the garden and accompanied me to a local Sicilian bar where he waited on the cold ground with me, even in winter. His fur is a bulletproof vest, thick and warm. Not cold like this one from spoiled cirnechi. He is just like his father Mallo. Mallo's breeder, the late Carmelo Gulino, was proud and explained that the dense coat is an asset for the breed. Sicilian breeders also want to hunt with their cirneco in the harsh, icy winters on snowy mountains around Etna. Rocco is the father of several Cyrenensis litters and will travel proudly in the family tree with very beautiful puppies!
